Contemporary Textile Art

We find Yosi Anaya, who presents flowing tapestries, merging the materiality of the textile with the vitality of water suggested by his rivers. Cristina Almodóvar, with her light, dainty natural construction, that could well be used as a net for catching memories. Cristina Busto, with a call to lost nature that arouses melancholy towards a gentle nature. Laura Ferrando, who with her textiles, first in tension and later liberated, draws a sketch of the IESVS NAZARENVS REX IVDAEORVM. Amelia Jiménez Goy, who with her tapestries proposes a differed vision of Spanish aesthetics. The ethereal forms of Sugane Hara, that in this case are materialised evoking a mysterious pond anchored to an undefined point in time. María Muñoz, who portrays a disturbing melancholy, trapped amid fabrics that portray a reflection on the anchored and frozen time. The ethereal installation of Kae Newcomb, creating a floating world through a single piece. María Ortega, who has turned the support of our energy into light, analysing and with a subtle mind redesigning a construction of our daily life. The linked forms evoking memories captured from the undulating structure of Paulina Ortiz. Natalia Parejo, with her fetishised object, merging daintiness and forcefulness through the selected materials. Isabel Polikowski Ditone, with a standard where timelessness acts as support for a temptation that almost seems alive. The shape of one of the most important tales of humanity through the ingenious lines of Silke. The vínculo (link) of Flora Sutton, where wire becomes a stable fabric. The impossible costumes of Pilar Tobon, that analyse and redesign millenary traditions. And the almost salmodic claim of a worthy home of Consuelo Vinchira, who builds and arranges her utopic cities.
